Murder is still murder. I won't argue against that.

[He's just a little blase about the idea of dying, when it comes down to it. He has always existed with the expectation of being reuploaded should anything happen to him.]

But if I do remember correctly, Patience said the dead would have the opportunity to forget what happened if they chose to do so. It won't erase the facts, but it... should serve as a small comfort.

...I guess. It's just - even if it's not permanent, it's awful.

[She pauses for a moment, thoughtful.]

And even beyond the obvious, it feels wrong to take away somebody's chance to get their wish, you know? Some of them are really important.

... I understand your point of view. But remember that this is a competition. Only one god will win, and not everyone can have their wish granted.

[Hm.]

[She sighs.]

I know. I just wish... people would find less awful ways to compete. You know?

[Echoing that sigh.]

Ambition said murder was never an obligatory part of this competition... But the chain of deaths can't seem to stop by themselves.

[As her frown deepens, she nods.]

I wish there was something I could do... Or something that all of us could do.

So do I. There has to be something that can be done to put an end to this. But we've failed to discover it so far.

[There's a pause as she debates the best way to answer that, but...]
