[ray doesn't know if the ocean even exists in his version of earth, so he's aware that this is probably the only chance he'll ever get to see the ocean—which means he's pretty fascinated right now.
Yeah. That's how he always treated my brother. Like, 'I just want to you to succeed, so I'm going to be awful to you until you do!', that kind of thing.
