The dorm leaders pick who gets put in pairs for the school year, and I have no idea what they were thinking in this case. I've tried to swap plenty of times but it's never happened.

Performances mostly.... If we performed really well together, we'd get to separate - and we did! But it still didn't place as high as everyone else... The other time, I had to perform solo by myself and if I was good enough, I'd be allowed to switch to the other dorm - but my dorm head said he liked my performance so much he didn't want to let me go.

[She takes them with a thankful nod, starting to push her hair out of her face.]

I was thinking of dyeing it, you know. My hair.

I don't know. I had indigo streaks in it a while ago back home... That was pretty fun.

I'm not sure. Whatever's easiest, I guess... Last time I had an actual hairdresser do it for me. It's probably harder to do anything complicated on yourself if you want it to look good.

[But she closes her eyes reflexively as he reaches over to start putting the mask on her face.]
