I will. The gods have rooms inside the temple that they sleep in - they're hidden away pretty intensely, but that's part of why they seem safe to stay in.

Oh, by the way... I'm throwing a party on Thursday. I'm not going to stay there overnight, but I figure a lot of people might. Maybe that'll help.

Have you been a secret party animal all this time, Zo?

Oh, yeah, you know me.

[She laughs, a little embarrassed.]

No, I just... thought it might be nice to do something to get everyone's mind off - you know. All of this, just for a night.

[usogi]

[senri also laughs, shaking his head]

... I love it. I love parties, so I'll definitely be there.

You need any help?

[She shakes her head.]

I'm going to ask Indulgence for help with it. I think if I frame it like it'll make him more popular, he'll be willing to give me a hand with planning.

[senri's face says 'holy shit']

... we're in for such a party.

His name is Indulgence, he's a former ruler, and he's an amazing dancer.

That's like a recipe for a totally wild party host!

If nothing else... It'll be nice to have a night off, you know?

Sure, I love to have a good time as much as anyone else.

I invited Dizzy to come play soccer with us tomorrow - partially because I think she needs the chance to have a little fun, and because I kind of just miss playing soccer.

[She tilts her head, interested.]

I don't think I knew you were a soccer player. That's pretty cool. And - it's nice of you to include her. I'll make sure to show up.

Soccer, basketball, I try to pick up new things when I have the time. But my classmates at school played soccer more than anything else.

I think Dizzy and Indulgence have a really hard time getting people to like them again after... well, everything. So I think it can't hurt to give them a little publicity boost.

Hopefully we'll both be able to help them out.

Besides, I'd really like to just enjoy a party anyway. They're so fun!

Is that a big party in America? Is it for school or family...? A holiday?

Oh, yeah, it's a school dance. Kind of like prom, but less important.

[She tilts her head.]

Do they have prom where you're from?

Not in my high school....

School dances... that sounds really cute!

They're usually pretty fun. Kind of terrifying, but... fun.

Social pressure, basically. Asking someone to go with you is... a whole thing. It's way more serious than it should be.

[senri blinks at that - and he tilts his head, as if trying to understand]

Yeah... I guess I think I understand? High schools are already kind of vicious.

Some people call it a promposal. That's how intense it can get.
