This is the second time we're hearing that things aren't what they appear to be. Ambition said that during the trial last week as well, right? That we were missing something obvious.

Everything isn't the way it seems... it's been a running theme for the whole game, feels like. [ He dips his head a little, his brow furrowed in deep thought. ] So what are we missing? We must need to look at things another way. If we figure that out, we might have a better understanding of what it means to "look at members of our own teams."

Right. Team could have a few different meanings, depending on how you look at it. It could even be all of us, as a team versus the gods. Thinking that broadly won't help us progress, though...

Let's start from the teams we can reasonably define, then. Our factions, and our circles of trust. Is there anything about either of those teams that might not be what it seems?

[ thoughtfully ] "Members of our own teams" ... maybe we need to look at the teams the victims themselves belonged to.
